She is playing me, through me
and I pretend this all is of my doing…

Flowing down from the highlands, born
of the snow shower and sun drenched peaks
there are miles of stretching on before
we unite. We are the water, drop by drop
we realize until once again we pool by green
meadows and merge with our ocean- lover.

We dreamed along our way of our separateness,
and veered into divided streams and stagnated puddles.
We transformed into the invisible, falling again on fields
and city pavement, never once losing our essence.
Our wholeness, our nature is to merge again with that
which we already are.

So these polished words by the grace of Saraswati
meet you and intertwine us as they may.
My only instrument, my being bowing to
your being pretending I am playing, all the while,
flowing river of her essence keeps promises made
before time.

We are one again and I dreamed we were two.

This is one of the best and most beautiful poems I have read online, dear Brother, a Sufi-like poem, yet modern and perfectly conveying the dropness of our being.
Sorry for going on. Words really do fail me...

Peace and Many Blessings!

Beautiful ... we are being played
until we unite.

Our wholeness, our nature is to merge again with that
which we already are.
Profound insight.
hugs :o)

Beautiful, Tommy. I can't help but think your time in the mountains may have been the repose out of which this emerged. Whether that's true or not, you've touched something very deep... and its wonderful.

I love water and meditating on it's various nature. As well as the other 2 elements of life.

I think to myself as I breath in and out, "I am aware of ponds, lakes, rivers, oceans and rain in my body.

"Breathing in I see strength of the water within and without me. Breathing out I also see the impermanence of the water within and without."

Coming and go as a wave rising and falling from the deep interconnected ocean.
