Be Your Self

Can you remember yourself?

Can you draw upon the calmness at the center of your being and recognize yourself?

The simplest way to encounter yourself is to stop doing something instead of doing something.

Stop doing. Stop moving. Stop worrying. Stop loathing.

No need to stop permanently, just allow yourself a moment- three deep breaths- to simply let whatever is-be… here is your Self.

You can always go back to doing, moving, worrying, loathing…simply breathe into your Self.

Here is a place you can return to whenever you wish- this place is inside of you, and it is Heaven.

Nothing can ever hurt your Self. Nothing can ever threaten your Self.

Be your Self.

Wise and true words. Here are some lines about the that struggle.

'there are two kinds of heart:
one is the heart that is so
totally preoccupied with this
world that when some matter of
devotional duty arises, the
individual does not know what
he is doing because of his hearts
fixation on this world.

the other is the heart so full of
the spiritual states of the next
world that when some this-worldly
matter arises, the individual does
not know what he is doing because
of his heart's journeying to the
other world.'

There is much to be thankful for. At some point we realize others have expended energy to help us. All along the way we have been nurtured and supported and encouraged, from parents and others who helped raise us, to the kid that shared his sandwich with us at lunch when we didn’t have anything to eat, to our teachers and friends and so many whom we will never even consider... We can feel some gratitude toward those who in some way contributed to, inspired and loved us when we needed it. And we can share what we have, with innocence, freshness and simplicity, like Tommy does here.

Thank you friend.

irving- thank you for these wise words as well.

Julie- back at you:)

Scarlet- everything is in divine order.

Akilesh- I am learning, I am learning. "It" must be allowed to flow through us, out into the world. I take no credit- I'm learning to share what is ours.

Andrew- thank you.
