You're Probably Right
It’s looking pretty rough out there in the world. No doubt people are suffering and it seems to just keep on getting worse and worse. You name it; food prices, gas prices, a weakening economy, slumping housing market, foreclosures, unemployment, personal problems- when will it all end?
I don’t know- but, I'm sure of one thing: whatever your situation you can guarantee there’s someone, somewhere out there worse off that you. I’m not saying this to make you feel better- I’m saying it because it’s true and… once we realize this we have an opportunity to look at things from a different perspective--- and maybe, just maybe it’s not as bad as it seems.
If you’ve got someone to love- love ‘em hard and often… none of us are guaranteed tomorrow.
If you’ve got your good health- be thankful and take proactive steps to stay healthy.
If you go to sleep tonight with a full belly and a roof over your head- give thanks because billions of people haven’t enough to eat and lack proper shelter.
If you’re only paying $4.00 a gallon for gas- realize that in Europe they're paying $8.00.
If you’ve got a job, even one you hate, be thankful you can go to work and earn a wage.
If you're convinced things are pretty bad, there’s no hope, and it’s everyone for themselves- you’re probably right.
If you think times are rough but with a little love, hope, and faith things will get better- you’re probably right.
